There are many paths to healing

Introducing Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is an extremely relaxing and gentle technique developed by Dr. Emil Vodder. It is designed to help the body to detoxify the lymphatic system, enhance the immune system, and to rid the body of excess fluid.

This fluid could be from simple overuse, such as painful hands after hard work or swollen legs from standing. Alternately, the fluid build-up could be from an inflammatory condition, such as bursitis, arthritis and autoimmune disorders, or lymphedema from a variety of disorders.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage can also help with the aftermath of a fall, car accident,  dental work, or any event requiring a splint or cast. Post-op patients may also accelerate their recovery from plastic, cancer or other surgeries with this wonderfully relaxing massage.

Has anyone been working out extra hard? Manual Lymphatic Drainage may decrease soreness when you're turning up the heat in your run or tennis game.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is an excellent way to help the body detoxify itself. If there has been a build-up of chemicals from contamination or infection, you may benefit from detoxification. The increased lymph flow washes toxins out of the lymph nodes and out of the body.

Of course, MLD is not for everyone. The therapy is not suitable for people who have fluid accumulation due to infection, cardiac, liver, or kidney problems.
